Lecture Halle B1 Forum Laboratory & Analysis

14:30-15:00 h | Hall B1 B1.135/Forum Laboratory&Analysis

Within this talk, we will show you how to augment traditional 2D imaging techniques with additional valuable analytical information.

Subjects: Analysis | Applications | Optical imaging / processing | Laboratory Technology | Food Analysis | Test and Measurement and Quality Control | Pharma & Diagnostics

Speaker: Moritz Fischer (Hamamatsu Photonics Deutschland GmbH)

Type: Lecture

Speech: English

This presentation introduces to you and discusses our solutions for three emerging technologies for analytical imaging:

1) X-ray fluorescence is a powerful detection tool for elemental composition of heterogeneous samples, e.g. in mineralogy.

2) Raman spectroscopy detects vibrational fingerprints of molecules in your various kinds of samples of interest.

With Hamamatsu's solutions, you can make both of those latter methods fit for imaging with spatial resolution on a micrometer scale.

3) Hyperspectral imaging allows you to simultaneously analyze the position and the chemical composition of your samples, e.g. for sorting applications.

Hamamatsu will contribute to your projects with solutions for collecting this in-depth quantitative information.
