Lecture Halle B2 Digitale Transformation - Smart Lab

12:00-12:30 h | Hall B2 Booth B2.431

  • What roles do standards play in the digital transformation ?
  • Connecting the dots in the lab using standards: what examples are there ?

Subjects: Automatisierung | Digital Transformation / Laboratory 4.0

Speaker: Daniel Juchli (wega Informatik AG), Dr. Patrick Courtney (SiLA)

Type: Lecture

Speech: English

The role of standards is often misunderstood and can appear very abstract. This talk will present an existing inter-operability standard working in the Lab and supported by a range of users, vendors and other stakeholders. The SiLA standard will be explained with emphasis on the open nature and reference code available. Use case examples will be given from current deployments and proof of concept demonstrators across a range of labs from pharmaceutical R&D to formulation
