analytica conference statements 2016
Why the analytica conference is also worthwhile for you: Read personal reports from successful participants from all over the world.
Prof. Dr. O. J. Schmitz; Essen
“Generally speaking, I noticed that the number of international speakers who gave lectures at the conference has increased considerably. That improved the quality of the conference as well as the exchange of ideas and networking. My personal highlight was the presentation by Prof. Peter Schoenmarkers from Amsterdam in the session on “Separation Techniques: How many dimensions are enough?”. […] As far as I’m concerned, analytica in Munich (the exhibition and the conference) is and will remain a permanent entry in my calendar?”
Prof. Dr. E. Wieland; Stuttgart
“The topics at the analytica conference are perfectly matched to the exhibition. The speakers are very prominent, and the discussions are very lively. I learned quite a lot and can imagine participating again in 2018.”
Prof. K. A. Schug, Ph.D.; Arlington
“This was my first analytica conference and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The conference has a very nice mix of vendor exhibits and scientific presentations. I liked that high quality scientific presentations were not overly diluted by too many parallel sessions. To me this gives analyti-ca, a very large conference, a small conference feel, and I appreciate that.”
Prof. Dr. L. Martens; Ghent
“The analytica conference is always a great place to meet up with international experts in the field, and to discuss recent progress and topics with them. The specific focus on analytics brings the best work technical work to the foreground, and highlights the great importance and essential contributions of methods and method developments in the progress made in the chemical and lifesciences. Moreover, it is common to see rival techniques and technologies presented side by side, and to be able to interact with their developers or inventors. This adds to a diversity of opinions, views, and approaches that is both unique as well as very useful. I will be very happy to participate again in 2018!”
Dr. R. Ramautar; Leiden
“One of the reasons to attend the analytica conference in Munich was to get an overview of the contemporary technical innovations in the field of separation sciences. lt was nice to see so many biotech start-ups offering potential creative solutions for a wide range of bio-analytical problems, covering the entire workflow, i.e. from sample pretreatment to data analysis software packages. For example, state-of-the-art equipment for further minimizing dead volumes when dealing with the development of miniaturized/nanoscale separation techniques was demonstrated. Another attractive feature of analytica is the ample time available to discuss with experts in the field, both from academia and the industry, about the challenges you experience in your research. lnsights obtained from these on-site informal conversations in a nice atmosphere often shed new light on your research. As analytica 2016 was attended by people with different backgrounds, i.e. students, academic scientists, and researchers and representatives from pharma & industry, it can be considered an excellent forum for recruiting students for your research project or to set-up scientific collaborations with companies or academic institutions. As a final point, scientific lectures provided by experts in the field during the analytica conference really focused on the state-of-the-art and clearly outlined in which research fields technological innovations are highly needed. Therefore, I definitely plan to at-tend analytica in 20L8, but I especially will stimulate my PhD students to do so as they might find at this conference potential solutions for their research projects.”
Prof. V. Vyskočil; Prague
“I have attended this conference as an invited speaker. I think it is a very good idea to con-nect a conference with a fair to hear about the news from both fundamental research and practical applications areas. For me personally, it was a great opportunity to meet people working in my field of expertise, some of them for the first time, and to share the results in this community. Moreover, we had also time to discuss our research experiences in reflection with the products and technologies presented at the fair. This is a very special advantage of this mutual connection: conference–fair. I would say that there were all the fields of modern analytical chemistry well covered and the speaker were suitably selected. If I have an opportunity to participate at this conference series in 2018, it would be a great pleasure for me to come again. I would like to congratulate the organizers for the great job they have done!”
