The ”BIOTechnikum. Investigate life - design the future“ initiative will inform you about the immense significance of this key technology for our daily life and research into modern biotechnology in Germany.

In the scope of the High-Tech Strategy of the German Federal Government, the campaign by the BMBF is to act as a platform for information and dialogue and encourage discussion and exchange about biotechnology.

Only by investigating life, we can design the future.

The aim of the campaign is to demonstrate these chances, motivate people to use them and give them the necessary knowledge to do so. 

The double decker exhibition vehicle offers room for information, interaction and dialogue and invites visitors on location to use this offer individually according to their interests and knowledge.

The mobile experience world BIOTechnikum encompasses:

• A mobile lab, where you can do experiments under the guidance of the project accompanying scientists
• An accompanying exhibition, which presents ”hands-on science“ and
• A forum which allows space for in depth discussion about the theme of biotechnology in the most literal sense of the word.
