"After a weak customer response at other events over the past 12 months, analytica 2010 met the hopes and expectations of industry representatives. BD Biosciences and the European premiere of the BD FACSAria III cell sorter underscore the importance of analytica 2010. BD is also planning to expand its trade-fair activities at the attractive Munich Trade Fair Centre again in 2012."

"Going into this year's fair, some people may have been somewhat skeptical about how the laboratory-technology, analysis and biotechnology sector has been changed by the economic crisis and what affect that would have on activities at the trade fair analytica. However, there were no sights of restraint: the halls were bustling with activity, and this year the biotechnology sector was a genuine highlight – and deservedly so. "The visitors at GE Healthcare's stand during analytica 2010 are much more optimistic this spring, and many of the investment plans that were put on ice as a result of economic uncertainty in 2009 are being seriously reconsidered at this time. This was reflected by the increased number of inquiries concerning concrete projects. GE Healthcare's new ImageQuant LAS and Typhoon FLA systems for image-based, quantitative data documentation in biochemical analyses and the new ÄKTA chromatography system for quicker, more reliable methods development in particular have generated a great deal of interest.
